I saw a link for this and wondered what it is all about. I think it said something about search with a guide. Has anyone actually used this site and is it even a search engine?

Can you give a link? I can't find it, although I think I know what you're talking about it. Is ChaCha similar to SearchTub.com?

Sorry, I have never heard of it either. A link would be handy to be able to find it then we can give you an idea of whether or not it is any good or as good as others that you are already using.Get back to us so we can help you find out.

I just added the link. I was wondering about it because I have seen it advertised on a few message boards before. I haven't even tried it yet.

I have heard of cha cha from a girl that is a guide for them. I guess they have someone there that will personally help you with your search.

The were hiring cha cha guides a while back. I don't know if they are any longer and I know you had to have an invitation to get in to be an employee. I would like to hear more about being a guide if someone knows more.

This is from November 6th, so I'm not sure whether or not they're still hiring, but maybe it will be helpful to someone.

I doubt if you are missing much. From what I have heard they aren't adding more guides and the ones they have are barely getting searches. Cha Cha isn't really a search engine. A friend of mine is a guide and uses google and other search engines to look up results. I guess it is helpful if you don't know how to do your own search.

A lot of people haven't a clue how to formulate a search phrase.

You would be surprised about the number of people who don't know how. I think it is a good service once people start using it. I think it might still be in the beta stage so it has a lot of glitches to work out.

I just got on to http://chacha.com and it was confusing. I didn't realize that it was a live guide so I was pretty surprised when she asked me what I needed help with :)I'm all for new search engines, but Google and ask.com and yahoo are so darn powerful already, how are these guys going to compete?

Doesn't seem to be anything special. There are so many sites out there that show promise but don't follow through. I don't find this to be a tool that increases my productivity.

Sorry, I have never heard of it. For example, i know qweas search engine (www.qweas.com/), which searches software. ChaCha is a Search Engines, what can it search?

How very snobbish to require someone to be a U.S. Citizen. Besides legal residents with SSNs.. there are more people that live outside the USA than inside... what is so special about those that are U.S. Citizens? The net is world wide. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
