It seems that nowadays every manager out there is using XML as part of their proposed solution. Clearly XML comes into play with a lot of projects, but isn't it getting a little overused now? Frankly I'm a little tired of having it thrown out simply because it's such a hot buzz word. Don't get me wrong - it's extremely powerful, but enough is enough.

You can also use XML to make a simple project extremely complicated. For example UPS has a XML interface to make labels. The instructions are hundreds of pages. For many applications a simple POST (with name/address/acct# etc) with the label and information being returned would do the trick.
