If I were looking to buy a website for sell, what would be a fair purchase price. I have two websites in mind that could profit me from about 500.00 to 2, 000 per month depending on my promotion and how much I want to work. I just don't want to invest too much on a site I am not sure will be worth it in the end. These two sites have been for sell about 6 months and there has not been any movement yet.

Well first of all do you know what their asking price is? That's the first thing you need to do. Then you ask them is there room for negotiation. When you find that you then you decide if you want to meet their price or try to get it for a lesser price and make them an offer.

Have you taken any of these steps at this point?

I haven't bought a site before but a lot of is going to depend on their inital asking price as well as how much revenue they have brought in during operation. You definitely don't want to buy a site that was struggling to get by in the beginning.
