Is there any reliable information about the placing of one's google adsense ads on the page. I know that with photography it is well known that the viewers eyes always focus on well defined areas of a picture when first viewing it. Possibly this knowledge would help a lot in determining where best to place the adsense links?

There are some really good articles and books on this subject. I actually think there are some other posts on this very forum. It's all about making them not look too much like ads, but not tricking or cheating your visitors at the same time.

It is also about testing!!On one page you might find all the clicks come from a block of ads at the very bottom... another they might come from a block at the top. By using one block and placing it in the optimal position FOR YOUR PAGE could significantly increase revenue over plastering your site with as many as possible.

Just put them somewhere where's visible, and don't bust your content. That way, you can always see both of them. One of the favorite places it's on the top, a banner, and a side (right usually) for another skyscrapper. Tip: you can put also a link adsense, right under your top menu. If google index well your websites, perhaps the links there will benefit you:)

Another great tip: make them 'vanish' in your website background:) • Page 1 (Original Post) •
