It seems like I have to always check my spam because sometimes emails I need end up in my spam box. I used to just click the empty button, but sometimes my boss emails me from an alternate email and it ends up in my spam box. I have even tried adding his addresses into my address book and the emails still slip through the cracks.

If you have the option in your e-mail to "allow" no matter what it looks like (I know Sympatico has this feature). You can "allow" all his e-mail addresses to be accepted no matter whether it would normally be considered spam or not. It's a very simple feature in the options.I am pretty sure that Sympatico is not the only one with this type of option so I would suggest shopping around and finding out which ones in your area have this type of feature set up for you.

It's so much worse when a good email goes into the spam box than when a bad email goes into your regular inbox.

I always check my spam mail. Too many times I haven't gotten an email I was expecting because I always just deleted all the spam without checking. Then someone pointed out to me that occasionally a good email gets sent to the spam folder. I've been checking it ever since. It's a pain in the neck, but until somebody invents a better spam filter, we really don't have much choice.

I am discontinuing a CMS we had custom made for us because the popmail has NO spam control. That's right you read it correctly. NO spam control. I can't even know how many messages I have missed. When I go in there it's like 1500 "new' messages. I have to delete for hours just to find one message.

I only check my spam whenever I have signed up for a site and I don't see it in my inbox immediately. Other than that, I never check. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
