I posted this on one of the other threads, but thought I would go ahead and post here too. What are, in your opinion and experience, the best email accounts that block the spam. I have a gmail account that is good. My yahoo is really bad. My hotmail is so so. Does anyone have a better alternative to a good free email account?

I don't know why everyone seems to think that Yahoo is bad. I have had yahoo for years and I don't have any problem with them at all. I get about 10 e-mails a day there and about 500 spam in the spam folder.Gmail is very good and between the two of them, especially using those as sign-up e-mails I find I don't have to deal with much spam at all. My sympatico account on the other hand is pretty good but the spammers seem to be getting better. I posted that at the other thread about them using names and ridiculous subject matter and it gets through. However, I never open anything I don't know who it's from and I just hit delete, delete, delete.

My yahoo mail has on average 1000 spam mails per day. I think that is bad. My aol account usually has none as does my gmail account. I also think it depends on which accounts you give out more often.

I usually get over a 100 in my bulk mail folder daily. So far the best I have used is gmail. I rarely get spam and it usually filtered well. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
