My favorite search engine is yahoo. I just like the format. I know quite a few people use google because it is kid friendly. My boyfriend uses MSN, but I don't use it very often. What is a good search engine with the least amount of ads?

Comment #1 jnights from Las Vegas -

I personally like Google simply because of the efficiency of the algorithm. I don't mind the ads at all and in fact I often find them useful. I think Yahoo is also a great search engine and if you want to try something cool and different, go to ask.com it's also very good.

Comment #2 Dixie from Somewhere Over The Rainbow -

I pretty much always use google now. When I got my first computer and learned how to use the internet, the first search engine I used was search.com. It's not bad, but google is the best.

Comment #3 Brenda from The Beach Baby! -

I have to agree that google is one of the best. I think it is just an opinion thing though. I like to use search engines that bring back the most valuable sites with the least advertisements. Yahoo is full of advertisements. I hate that every think I search for brings up ebay for instance.

ask.com is pretty good. Sometimes I'll use it just to take a break from google for awhile.

Comment #5 SomeoneAwful from The World -

Google, it's the best, hands down. Although I hear Ask.com's algorithm is very complicated and advanced, and is based on how much time people spend on web pages. That makes me sad to see that I don't have my web site anywhere on Ask where it is on Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Comment #6 RiverQueen from Anywhere You Want -

My vote is with the majority. Definitely Google is the best as far as I'm concerned. However, I have heard of one called StarSearch.com. Is anyone familiar with this? Everyone I have asked has heard of it but no one has used it.

Any information you can give me would be useful.

I also like yahoo but I find google to be much more efficient.

Comment #7 Lacie from Denver, Colorado -

I use Yahoo usually. I really guess it is just because I have a google toolbar that makes it easy just to type my search in. My husband uses wikipedia for a lot of things. I don't guess it is considered a search engine, but it has valuable information.

I'm a Google girl...It drives me nuts when I'm at my parents' house and use their computer - they use Yahoo and I always end up switching it to Google!!
