I have one name that is about to delete. I am not sure if i want to delete or not. I kind of want to hang onto it, but the site I built for it only works if I migrate the domain reg to another registrar.

Instead of paying reg plus transfer fee, should i just wait and see if it gets snapped up? Then re buy at the destination hosting site?

Why does it matter who the registrar is?

Won't most registrars transfer it for free to get your ongoing business?

The real question is whether you bring in $10 or more a year.

If it's a good name and it drops then somebody can pick it up other than a registrar and then you're our of luck. I'm guessing that it's not that amazing based on what you're saying, but you need to keep that in mind.
