I own about a dozen or more. I work on about 50. I work for a guy who owns 7000. We joke he needs a support group. There is a lot of investment value there but I strive to e-leverage that value inside a comp[osed site versus a for sale sign/landing page.

$10/month from 7, 000 domains would be some pretty serious money.. and it might well be must easyer to earn than $70, 000 a month from one site!

How would you even begin to keep track of 7, 000 domains? That's definitely obsessive. Wonder of theres a 12 step program for webaholics?

I actually own 4 domain names. These are going to be held until I can find the proper use for them. I purchased them from GoDaddy and the cost was like 38.00 for the year.

This is not absorbitent but if I don't use them then I am throwing away this money.

Having 7, 000 domain names to me seems like such a waste of money unless this person is planning to work 7, 000 sites. Which to me is one heck of a lot of work and I would class them definitely ast a workaholic. I myself enjoy some leisure time in my live and would never go in that direction.

I own over 100 domains. A lot of them are related to specific ventures that I work on for myself or clients and I always look out for ones that I could sell at some point. I never pay a lot for a domain although I have paid $60 each for a few of them.

How do you choose topics for so many pages? Are they all related or are they on a variety of subjects? I think I'd lose track of what I actually owned if I had a lot of domains.

$10/month for 7, 000 domains? That's not true, it would be like $8 a year for each domain, unless there's some kind of bulk package. All the domains are probably all on one hosting plan.

We own just three. I don't have the need currently for more. We are possibly buying 2 more after the new year. I couldn't imagine keeping up with more than ten. That would be my max.

I think I must be the only person here who owns only two. I am fairly new to this and two is about all I can handle right now. I wouldn't even know where to begin with 7, 000.

i own 4 but im planning to have 10.. dont regret if you own many. based on my own experienced dont just let your domain parked. put some original contents, have some baclinks, and let them aged then used it for commercial use later or sell them. as much as possible own a domain that was easy to remember or 3-5 letters domains. dont you know that sex dot com was sold for $12 million dollars?

The more the better if you are making money from them. Doesn't take much to earn $10/yr to cover your expenses. Then as Dell says.. let them age and build back links...

Just don't put a stupid domain parking content on them.

I currently have three and am working on each of them before I "release" them. They're mostly just crafty sites.
