Are there still new CGI scripts being developed?

Clearly there are a ton of great scripts out there doing some very powerful stuff, but I haven't read much about CGI in a while and am not sure how much new stuff is being developed. Has it been replaced to a certain extent? Are there still lots of sites using CGI?

There are still many free CGI scripts out there and some ongoing projects, but I don't see it being used that often anymore. There are so many alternatives that if you're starting from scratch it just doesn't make that much sense anymore. Or maybe I'm missing something?

Jess, I don't think you are missing anything. You are right on the money. They aren't being used as often and that is just the way it goes.
