What do you think is the best blog system to use? I'm trying to aquire a domain, and I want to put a blogging system on it. I only know of two, wordpress and blogger, and blogspot, although I think that's the same as blogger... Yep, it is.

Correct, blogspot is the same as blogger. So your blogger URL would be myblog.blogspot.comIf you want to have your blog physically running on your domain then I think wordpress is the way to go. You can install it and it's very powerful. I am not positive, but I think blogger blogs must reside on their system/servers. I may be wrong about that, but I still think Wordpress is the way to go.

You can have blogger/blogspot automatically ftp to your domain, subdomain or folder... so rather than xyz.blogspot.com you can be blog.yourdomain.com or www.yourdomain.com/blogIt can't be both so when you setup either choose a name on blogspot.com or setup ftp for your domain.

If you're wanting to generate revenue from your blogs, then I would stay away from the blogspot domain. Definitely go with your own domain name and go from there. Wordpress seems to be a fairly popular blogging platform.

If you own your own domain, then you can use wordpress templates (through wordpress.org)....if you have a "free" blog through wordpress.com, then they do not allow you to post blog ads on your blog. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
