I know people make money from their blogs, and I'd really like to give it a shot. Problem is, I don't know where to start. Where would I go to learn how it's done? Do I need to register a domain name or are there sites that will set you up with a blog under their domain, and which would be the best way to go? Also, what would be a popular subject matter for a blog? And lastly, how do I make money with it?

You could get a blog from blogspot or wordpress. You would make money through AdSense or a related affiliate program. As for a profitable topic, just blog about something you like that's not crowded, or take a crowded subsection of the topic. For example, if you like video games, don't blog about video games in general, blog about a genre or a series.

There are tons of places that will pay you to blog. They pay you to start blogs, post on others blogs. Plus the good ones pay when others post on your blogs. Just like the previous post said: Find good topics that many people can relate to and go with it. Try to set yourself apart from the others. You can find paid blog information just by searching the web. The previous post gave a couple good ones, but find one that works the best for you.

Awesome. Thanks for the info you guys. I'm wondering if a blog on soap operas would be a hit, or maybe reality television. I'm going to do some research now that you've given me a starting point. Look for blog from me soon!

That sounds like a nice, unpopulated niche. Another way to make money is through Affiliate Junction, which I just learned about in a thread I read a few minutes ago.

Any of the television subjects would be great. You could do just tv in general with sub subjects like reality tv, soap operas, gameshows, sitcoms, etc. That would actually be a booming blog if you ask me.
