I am trying to work on a blog. I am still working on my html design but I wanted where are some places to promote my blog?

The best way I know is to go on all the places where you have credibility and get the blog url in your siggy. People will come. Make sure you boost your posts and make sure you have something in the domain name that is interesting. Make a banner they can click or make it your member name.

You will have to be very careful though because a lot of sites don't want your urls on their pages. The best thing is to pm (private message) the webmaster for that particular page and find out first, if they allow other urls and second where do they allow them.

Otherwise you could find yourself banned from that particular site, which you probably really don't want to do.

rowena105 has told you the best thing to do. If you post on forums, most will allow you to put your blog URL in your signature line, but some will not. You can always check the folder on the site that usually is labeled something like guidelines for posting.

Yep and remember that other sites are looking to make money too so offer them something that will entice them to help you such as a bonus or points towards a bonus if you are allowed to do it.

At a lot of sites you will find directories lists there and usually the webmaster would like to see their members click on those links if there is something in it for them. They will even promote you as well.

The best thing to do is do link exchanges with related blogs, or buy links from related blogs. That's the best advice I have to give.
