Since blogs usually have those link corners, those are great places to link to other blogs. I don't think doing link exchanges with regular sites is good because people reading blogs usually look for other blogs to read.

I didn't think about that, but that is definately a thought. I think links to other personal blogs is good and links to other business blogs with similar subjects is good too. Everyone helping everyone out.

You can also buy links, that would do better for SEO and it would save link space in your link area. The downside is so obvious that I won't state it.

If you find a few blogs that are like yours in topic or would interest some of the same readers you could ask about blog roll, being added to their link on their blog, or uses tags.

You can go on a blogroll and enter a script that would turn the links into a scrollbar box, thus not having so many links on your main page.
