We lost our adsense account awhile back. We're really not sure why, they wouldn't give us an answer. The best we can figure is, in their effort to "help", some of our members may have been clicking a lot of ads per day. What I'm wondering is, once they close your account, is it ever possible to get it back? It's been over a year now, is there a chance to get it back if we resubmit? I'm also wondering what a good replacement would be? We've tried a couple of things (Clicksor, Bidvertiser) but they didn't pay very well. Any advice here would be appreciated.

Wow you are under the ban. This is very bad. Once they see you are an IP pirate they will stonewall you. I can only suggest new domain, new hostig, new credit card, different name, and if you have the same IP address I still dont know if they will take you.

Is it really that bad? Wow. I just figured after awhile there wouldn't be any record of our site at all. What's really sad is we didn't do anything wrong. But they just won't accept our side of the story, or even tell us why they banned us. A couple of our members told us, after they noticed the ads were gone, that they figured those ads helped us so they clicked them. We figured maybe that was the problem. But how are you supposed to know that's going to happen? That's something that you're just not prepared for. And it's also something that could happen to anyone with a forum site. There's always a member or two who are just so anxious to help. They don't realize the consequences. Oh well, we're not getting a new domain... we've had this one for over 4 years and it's a strong site. We will survive with or without adsense.

I thought I heard something about Yahoo coming out with a program similar to adsense. That might be something worth looking into. Yahoo would have to have a payrate similar to google in order to compete with them.

I would love to find out more about the yahoo program if anyone is currently using it. I would really love to find a good adsense replacement.

Boy Delany, that is really unfortunate. I don't really know anyone better than adsense and have heard nothing about a Yahoo service either. Maybe you should just try to contact adsense and reason with them, you never know what a little time and honesty can do.

I am sorry to hear that. I haven't heard about the yahoo program yet I hope that they do come out with one. I haven't made a lot with google but it is getting better.

I guess you could try to email the adsense team and see if they can undo it. Try to explain what happened. I know when I signed up they had a big thing about excessive clicking and clicking on your own links.

I have read a lot about this in the past. You need to try and contact them and tell them you have not done anything knowingly that should have resulted in this. They sometimes get suspicious with invalid clicks or your design may have violated their TOS and so they may have closed it. Write to them and see what happens.

I have read about Google doing this to many people, especially in some of the forums that I frequent. Unfortunately, from what I understand, they're not ever able to open a Google adsense account again. My sister uses Bidvertiser on her site and has better luck with them than Adsense. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
